The Young Bucks attacked Kenny Omega earlier this year. In a recent interview, the latter stated he would like to get revenge on the All Elite EVPs. He added that he might team up with the legendary Hiroshi Tanahashi for the said match.
Last year in December, The Best Bout Machine was diagnosed with a life-threatening condition called diverticulitis. He has been on the shelf ever since. Omega made a brief return to All Elite Wrestling in May 2024 where he updated his fans on his health.
During his visit to AEW's Flagship show Dynamite, The Cleaner also criticized The Young Bucks for attacking Tony Khan. It led The Elite (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Jack Perry, and Kazuchika Okada) to attack him on the show.
NJPW recently released a video featuring Kenny Omega and his former rival Hiroshi Tanahashi having a reunion. During the conversation, the former expressed his desire to get revenge on The Jackson Brothers with the help of the latter.

"The Young Bucks are very egotistical, but that used to be me, so I'm not angry, per se. I want revenge, but through my own wrestling...If I can rehab, I want The Young Bucks and if he's up for it, then I want to be in the ring with (Hiroshi) Tanahashi. As a partner, not an opponent." Kenny Omega comments on his in-ring return
During the same interview with NJPW, Kenny Omega also addressed his in-ring future. The Cleaner stated that he would not be cleared for in-ring action anytime soon. But if he gets the clearance somehow, he would like to participate in Wrestle Dynasty 2025.
"If they cleared me tomorrow, I would be back in the ring. There’s a lot I don’t know right now, but I’d absolutely love to be on a stage like Wrestle Dynasty," said Omega.
Wrestle Dynasty will take place on January 5, 2025, at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan, the night after NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom 19. The last time Omega was seen in action was on the December 12, 2023, edition of Collision against Ethan Page.
