WWE legend Kevin Nash has panned a top AEW tag team for being out of shape and advised them to hit the gym. The stars in question are The Young Bucks.

Fans are still reeling in the aftermath of the inaugural AEW Dynasty pay-per-view. Matthew and Nicholas Jackson made history in their own right by defeating FTR in a ladder match to become three-time AEW World Tag Team Champions, courtesy of an assist from the returning Jack Perry.

Since returning with the gimmick of heel executives, The Young Bucks introduced changes to their presentation and ring gear. According to former WWE Champion Kevin Nash, however, the EVPs could be in better physical shape.

Discussing the Jackson brothers on an episode of his Kliq This podcast, Nash said:

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

"The Bucks start their entrances, you know, they do the [mimics their entrance pose]. And it's like - if you're gonna do that, that's great, at least go to the gym. Like, the only f****** cut on their bodies, if you take away the crack of their a**, they don't have a cut on their body. They've now added vests to their working gear."

The WWE Hall of Famer further shared wisdom he had received from his peers, which emphasized the importance of maintaining one's body if posing is an important part of a talent's presentation.

"They used to be in shape... In the immortal words [of], I think it was Billy Graham.. I remember Scott told me, like.. I did a most muscular pose one time when I was Oz and he said, 'Man,' he said, 'I'll tell you what.' Why do I think it was Billy Jack or maybe it was Billy Graham, I don't know. It was one of those guys who said, 'Man, the thing about posing is, if you make posing your deal, once your body's gone, you're done,' you know?" [22:50 - 24:21]

Jack Perry helped The Young Bucks defeat FTR at AEW Dynasty

AEW became the talk of the wrestling world when it aired unreleased footage of the backstage brawl between CM Punk and Jack Perry during All In 2023 on Dynamite earlier this month. The move was explained by the EVPs as well as by Tony Khan as a story element tying into their World Tag Team Title Ladder Match at Dynasty 2024 against FTR.

The bout itself was chaotic and violent, involving liberal use of weapons. Towards the end of the match, Dax Harwood was about to retrieve the championship belts for his team when he was pushed off the ladder by a masked figure, who was revealed by security to be a returning Jack Perry. The assist from The Scapegoat allowed the Bucks to win the vacant titles.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Perry in AEW on the heels of Dynasty 2024.
