Kofi Kingston is a WWE legend. Besides being a former WWE Champion, he has won the WWE Intercontinental Championship and the WWE United States Championship multiple times.
At WrestleMania 35, Kofi Kingston apparently faced the biggest challenge of his career. He locked horns with Daniel Bryan, aka Bryan Danielson, for the WWE Championship. This match was almost 24 minutes long, and after a grueling effort, it was won by The Dreadlocked Dynamo. This win made him the WWE Champion for the first time in his career.
Kingston has immense respect for The American Dragon. In a recent conversation with the YouTube channel In The Kliq, the 43-year-old praised the former AEW World Champion.
"Daniel Bryan, I think, is one of the greatest. He's got to be one of the top 5 of all time for a lot of different reasons. Just his resilience. He's a guy that broke his neck and came back. People said he wasn't going to do it, but you have to admire someone that can do that. Also, he is somebody who does not seek any credit. He had a lot to do with why I was even in that position (WrestleMania 35). He will never tell you that. He will not brag about it because that is something he does not do," said Kingston. Kofi Kingston calls Bryan Danielson an amazing in-ring competitor
In the same interaction mentioned above, Kingston complimented The American Dragon's storytelling skills. Additionally, he stated that the former WWE star was amazing in the ring.
"Even from a storyline perspective, it's just beautiful. That's what wrestling is all about, man. I couldn't have had a better opponent. He is amazing in the ring. Super smooth. And a standup guy," said The New Day member. [From 11:30 to 12:00]
Kofi Kingston is currently a part of the faction, The New Day, whose members, apart from him, consist of Xavier Woods. Big E was too a part of this stable, but he recently got kicked out of it.
