On the podcast Keepin' It 100 wrestling veterans Konnan and Disco Inferno blast wrestlers who were part of a match on Dynamite. On the podcast, they also referenced an old tactic used by wrestlers to make the action in the ring seem more violent than it is actually.

The match in question was the ALL-STAR 8-Man! match on Dynamite in which Roderick Strong, Zack Sabre Jr., and members of the Don Callis Family, Kyle Fletcher, and Konosuke Takeshita took on Kyle O'Reilly, Dante Martin, Mark Briscoe, and Orange Cassidy. While the latter team emerged victorious, the action in the ring didn't impress either Konnan or Disco Inferno, and both slammed it on their podcast.

"They are doing the eight-man, where Don Callis' group are wrestling Brisco, O'Reilly, Orange, and Dante Martin, way too much thigh-slapping. I was constantly fast-forwarding. These guys are all good... I can't stand it when I see guys that I have seen wrestle for like ten years, and they have wrestled for a long time, like Kyle O'Reilly and now they look like thigh slappers out there, doing all these spots," Disco Inferno said. [From 16:26 to 16:53]

Konnan replied that he had the same idea, and elaborated on it.

"The first part of the match looked like underneath guys just doing spots with no rhyme or reason. I was like, you guys are too experienced to be doing this," Konnan chimed in [From 18:00 to 18:11]

The term 'thigh-slapping' describes a wrestler trying to hype the in-ring action by slapping their hands or legs to create a noise that accentuates the realism of the move. For example, one of the most popular finishing movies, the Superkick, has the wrestler slap his thigh to create a noise that alludes to the brutality of the kick.

Konnan thought RUSH was the wrong opponent for MJF

MJF and RUSH are in a feud, and the two men met in the ring on Dynamite this week. The Salt of the Earth won the bout. However, Konnan had earlier said that RUSH wasn't the right opponent for MJF to restart his journey in AEW. He pointed out that RUSH had poor English skills.

"Dude, I mean Rush is the wrong guy who can't speak cause he calls him M 'yay' F. He's the wrong guy to go tit-for-tat with this guy. I know that he wants to go out there and speak English because he knows that the promo time is gonna help him but if your English is not that good, you should not be going out there. The first thing he did and he destroyed him was 'I don't know what you said, does anybody else know?' and everybody just popped. That's not the right guy to send out there. But, the good thing is, Rush is a hell of a heel, loves being a heel, and knows how to be a heel so the match would be good."

It's a good thing that an experienced wrestling veteran is calling out Tony Khan's booking decisions, but whether Khan will consider these suggestions is anyone's guess.
