Konnan claims a current WWE star told him he hated working for AEW. This superstar recently debuted in the Stamford-based promotion.
Ethan Page has been one of the most consistent performers in the world. After making a name for himself as a tag team wrestler in TNA Wrestler, he went on to pursue a singles career in AEW. While his AEW run started in a promising fashion, his television appearances slowly dwindled. As a result, he left the promotion and joined WWE where he has been involved in the main event scene in NXT.
Speaking on his Keepin' It 100 podcast, Konnan claimed that Ethan Page hated working for AEW:
"So when he went to AEW and he was texting me, 'bro, I hate this place' and this happened and that happened and I go, 'yeah, I can bring you down to Mexico.' I think he didn't have a passport or something but I've always said that Ethan Page is, you know, a 5 tool player." [1:30 - 1:48]
WWE star Ethan Page was robbed of a major title opportunity
Ethan Page made his NXT debut at Battleground in a title match against Trick Williams but he was unsuccessful in winning the title. However, he got another opportunity to challenge for the title this week on NXT in a battle royal match.
But as soon as the match started, Oro Mensah attacked Page and both men brawled to the back. Page wasn't eliminated from the match but was robbed of his title opportunity.
Mensah has been after Ethan Page ever since he revealed that he was the one who attacked Noam Dar a few weeks ago. Mensah even attacked Page before his match at WWE Battleground. As a result, Mensah was banned from the building last week. It looks like this feud between both men is getting more personal.
