WCW veteran Konnan wants to see a former WWE star turn heel in AEW. The star in question is none other than Ricochet who was recently signed to All Elite Wrestling by Tony Khan.

The former Intercontinental Champion made his AEW debut at All In last month during the Casino Gauntlet Match. The One and Only failed to earn an opportunity for the AEW World Championship but managed to stand out during the match. On the post-All In Dynamite, a feud between Will Ospreay and Ricochet was teased before Ospreay got jumped by PAC who will challenge him for the International Championship at All Out this Saturday.

In the recent edition of the Keepin' It 100 podcast, Konnan explained how he would book the heel turn of Ricochet. The veteran shared that he would air vignettes of Ricochet in a club and then he would eventually interrupt Will Ospreay and launch an attack on him.

"Bro, I would do vignettes of him in an actual club in Vegas chilling with some girls, dancing, people coming up to him asking for autographs and telling him, 'You're the best.' 'I know I'm the best.' 'You're better than [Will] Ospreay.' 'I know I'm better than Ospreay.' Then, one day in the middle of a promo he comes out and beats Ospreay and then he goes, I'm just letting you know right now, I don't know how you have the b*lls to come out here and say you're the best when I'm the best." AEW star Ricochet on his conversation with Triple H before leaving WWE

Ricochet left WWE in July after his contract expired. However, the highflyer recently revealed his conversation with the Head of Creative Triple H before his departure. Speaking on the Masked Man Show, Ricochet revealed how The Game seemingly disclosed that the door for a return in the future is open for him. He also noted how the company didn't make much effort to re-sign him as they already knew the answer.

"Yeah, I think I went into it, and I think, even later, me and Triple H had a little talk, and he was like, ‘Any time, whatever,’ because I just hadn’t re-signed, and it was kind of my last time there before the time ran up. I think they knew I just wasn’t gonna do it. So I think they were just trying to give me a good out that made me…something that is open-ended. I think they wanted to leave it that way, but I think they knew it wasn’t going to happen." [H/T Fightful]

Ricochet had a great in-ring debut against Kyle Fletcher a couple of weeks ago on AEW Dynamite. It will be interesting to see if The One and Only faces Will Ospreay for the International Title soon.
