A 24-year veteran has hailed Kyle Fletcher as the future of pro wrestling in what can be considered the highest of praise. This will surely leave some fans impressed.
Sonjay Dutt has been in the wrestling business for a long time, spending much of his time on the independent scene and working for some of the top companies. Given his experience, it is not past him to have sound judgment.
He was recently a guest on Mike Jones’ YouTube channel, and he heaped praise on Kyle Fletcher. He said:
"His star is rising day by day. Victories over Ospreay, victories over Okada. You can't really put a price tag on that, and I think all of that and you know, he's gotten himself in incredible shape. The guy's over 6'0 tall, he's in his 20s, to me, he's not just the future of AEW, but I think he's the future of pro wrestling." [H/T Wrestling Inc]
Sonjay Dutt hails how Kyle Fletcher has matured since his AEW debut
Kyle Fletcher made his AEW debut in a low-key affair. However, since then, he has gone from strength to strength and has solidified his position as one of the top stars in the company.
In the same interview, Sonjay Dutt hailed how Fletcher has matured immensely since his debut.
"I've been a big proponent and fan of Kyle's progression over the last couple of years. You know, from the day he first set foot here in AEW, as part of the United Empire with Aussie and Will, you fast forward that to today in 2024, the type of man that he is, not just in the ring but outside the ring, he has matured immensely,” he said.
That is high praise indeed, and it will be interesting to see what plans Tony Khan has for Fletcher in the new year.
