The Hardy Boyz are undoubtedly one of the most iconic WWE tag teams of all time. During their time in the Stamford-based promotion, Matt and Jeff Hardy won numerous championships as a tag team and as singles performers.

Matt and Jeff Hardy have wrestled in numerous promotions across North America; however, their run in AEW is often tagged as underwhelming. Their contracts with Tony Khan's promotion recently expired, and the brothers chose not to renew them. Interestingly, retired professional wrestler Booker T. opened up on the brothers' stint in Jacksonville during a recent episode on the Hall of Fame podcast.

The current NXT commentator claimed that the Jacksonville-based company mismanaged by putting the legendary duo in Ladder Matches like World Wrestling Entertainment. He added that Matt Hardy once got himself in a dangerous position, and his brother broke Sammy Guevara's nose, which led to an unpleasant situation.

"I think they [The Hardy Boyz] were mismanaged and misused in AEW because they brought The Hardys in, and they wanted to recreate the Hardys from when they first came in the WWE and were having ladder matches with The Dudleys, and I just thought that was a bad move. That experiment in AEW; it did not work out at all," Booker said.

During the same episode of the Hall of Fame podcast mentioned above, the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion expressed his wish to see The Hardys return to the Sports Entertainment juggernaut. Booker also said that the brothers deserved to be inducted into the company's Hall of Fame.

"I'd love to see both of those guys go into the WWE Hall of Fame. They deserve it. They really do. The body of work those guys put in; the legendary matches those guys had with teams like The Dudleys. I want to see those guys take their rightful place one day. So maybe this is the beginning. Maybe this is the spark," he said.

It will be interesting to see if Matt and Jeff Hardy return to the Stamford-based promotion for a final in-ring stint in the coming days.
