The wrestling world recently reacted to a potential rematch between WWE Superstar IYO SKY and an AEW star. The talent in question is Penta El Zero M.

IYO (then known as Hitokiri) faced Penta (then known as Pentagon Dark) in a gauntlet match on April 10, 2016, edition of Lucha Underground. After a hellacious battle between the two stars, The Genius of the Sky defeated Penta via pinfall.

Wrestling fans recently pitched some dream cross-over encounters between WWE Superstars and AEW stars on social media. Among them, one user put forward the idea of a rematch between IYO SKY and Penta El Zero M.

The Twitterati recalled the blockbuster encounter between the duo and wanted them to have a go at each other once again in the future. Some of the tweets can be checked below.

Freddie Prinze Jr. recently heaped praise on IYO SKY and Bianca Belair's match at WWE Backlash

While speaking on the Wrestling with Freddie podcast, the former WWE writer stated that SKY and Belair "burnt the house down" in the opening match of the Backlash Premium Live Event.

Prinze Jr. also had special praise for the crowd in Puerto Rico as they helped enhance the bout between the two stars:

"Let me tell you right now, they burnt the house down in the very first match. The two women — and the crowd is not equally responsible — but they played a huge part in this match. I didn't think I would love the match as much as I did."

He further added:

"This was, from jump street, these girls owned the crowd. The crowd felt like they were part of the match. IYO let them know that their love was appreciated. But she didn't do it in an, 'aw, shucks,' kind of way, she did it like, 'Yeah, that's right, I'm bada**, and you know it.'"

While IYO SKY may have failed to dethrone Bianca Belair for the RAW Women's Championship, she has another chance to have gold around her waist.

She will team up with Bayley to compete in a fatal four-way match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships on next week's edition of the red brand after Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were forced to relinquish the titles due to Morgan's injury.

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler, Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green, as well as Rodriguez with a mystery partner, will be the other participants.
