In a humorous incident, the audience began chanting for Logan Paul during a 6ft 1in star's debut AEW match. The talent in question is none other than El Phantasmo.

ELP has been signed with New Japan Pro-Wrestling since 2019. He joined the promotion as a member of Bullet Club and competed in the Junior Heavyweight Division, where he held the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Titles with Taiji Ishimori. He eventually transitioned to the Heavyweight Division in 2022, and participated in the 32nd G1 Climax, albeit being unable to advance to the semifinal.

In 2023, Phantasmo was ejected from Bullet Club, and later joined forces with the Guerillas of Destiny, winning the IWGP Tag Team Titles and the Strong Openweight Tag Team Titles alongside Hikuleo.

The Canadian star recently wrestled his first match on AEW television on the June 28, 2024, edition of Rampage, squaring off against AR Fox in a qualifier for the TNT Title Ladder Match at Forbidden Door 2024. At one point during the bout, fans began chanting the name of WWE Superstar Logan Paul at ELP, presumably in reference to The Headbanga's slight physical resemblance to the reigning US Champion.

Phantasmo defeated Fox in the match and will compete for the TNT Championship at Forbidden Door. He had previously appeared on the inaugural edition of the annual cross-over pay-per-view in 2022, teaming with The Young Bucks to unsuccessfully take on Shingo Takagi, Darby Allin and Sting.

Logan Paul was in action on WWE Friday Night Smackdown

Logan Paul has impressed wrestling fans with his work in WWE, earning the respect of audiences through his athleticism and his performances on television. The Maverick was in action on the latest edition of Smackdown.

The Maverick squared off against LA Knight and Santos Escobar in a Triple-Threat Money in the Bank qualifying match on the June 28, 2024, episode of the Friday-night flagship show. Paul nearly secured the victory in the bout by rolling up Knight, but the latter reversed the pin in controversial fashion to pick up the win.

It remains to be seen whether the budding rivalry between Logan Paul and LA Knight will lead to a singles match between the two for the US Championship.
