AEW President Tony Khan provided an update on the potential return of a star who was injured in his match against Jon Moxley earlier this year. Khan says the star will return soon.

The major AEW star in question is Powerhouse Hobbs. Hobbs has not been on TV for over three months now. He was last seen on an episode of Dynamite in April where he challenged Jon Moxley for the IWGP Heavyweight Title. Hobbs suffered an injury during the match that forced him to remain out of action.

Meanwhile, AEW President Tony Khan provided an update on Powerhouse Hobbs' potential return. Speaking during the All Out media call, Khan stated that Hobbs still needs time for recovery:

“Will Hobbs has been visiting the doctors. He was injured wrestling against Jon Moxley in April. It’s been several months of Hobbs being out. We’re hoping to get him back soon, but I think there is still some time he needs for the recovery. Powerhouse Hobbs is a huge part of AEW and has been a great champion."

Khan further added that Hobbs will be back soon:

"We look forward to getting Will Hobbs back. I can’t say the exact date, but he’s somebody in our plans that we want to get going again soon. It’s been nice to see him backstage a couple of times lately. This wasn’t the first time we’ve seen him, which is a good thing that he keeps coming in for check ups and is making good progress.”

Jon Moxley continues to call out a top AEW star

Last week on Dynamite, Jon Moxley made his surprising return with a brand new look and called out the top AEW star, Darby Allin. Mox aligned himself with Marina Shafir later on the show as well. This past Wednesday on Dynamite, Moxley yet again called out Darby, saying he just wanted to talk.

However, Darby Allin has yet to respond to Moxley after consecutive callouts. Only time will tell how Darby answers Mox in the coming weeks.
