A major AEW star was involved in a shocking one-minute squash match on this week's Collision. It was their first bout on the show since December 2023.
The star is none other than Kris Statlander. She faced Robyn Renegade on Saturday. Statlander perfectly showcased her new heel persona and started the match in a dominant fashion. Renegade hit some good moves early on in the match but was not able to keep up with the intensity of her opponent.
The former TBS Champion did not face any problems once she gained momentum and hit the Saturday Night Fever on Renegade to secure the win. This was a straightforward match for Kris Statlander, and it strengthened her position as a heel.
After the match, Stokely Hathaway, who is the manager of Statlander, revealed that he spoke to AEW President Tony Khan. Hathaway claimed that he and Khan agreed that the former TBS Champion was the past, present, and future of the company.
Hathaway then disclosed that Statlander was the first woman to enter the 2024 Owen Hart Memorial Tournament and that no one could stop her from reigning supreme.
