A popular AEW star recently got to talk about one of his biggest matches this year which was against Bryan Danielson. He spoke about how, judging by the fans' reactions, this was a great bout. This would be Will Ospreay.
In April, the two faced off in a dream match at AEW Dynasty. There was little to no animosity between the two, and they wished to finally share the ring. This was Ospreay's second pay-per-view match as an official member of the roster, just one month after his great match with Konosuke Takeshita at AEW Revolution.
During his recent interview with Inside the Ropes, Will Ospreay discussed the match with Bryan Danielson and how it completely met his expectations. He mentioned how he knew this was a good match based on how well the crowd was reacting.
“Yeah, 100% met my expectations. The moment we were in the ring they started saying ‘Holy s**t.’ I know what’s a good match and what’s not. All I gotta do is close my eyes and just listen to the audience, and they were enjoying every single minute of it.”

Ospreay also talked about the satisfaction of coming backstage after the match, likening this to a scene from Avengers: Endgame, as he could finally rest after putting on a show.
“Getting to come backstage was just one of those incredible moments. You ever see Avengers: Endgame where Iron Man sits down and he’s dying, and she goes, ‘you can rest now.’ It was an incredible moment and then here comes another Iron Man film.” [H/T Inside the Ropes]
Drew McIntyre says he would love to face two top AEW stars
A fan recently asked Drew McIntyre who he would love to face outside the WWE.
The Scottish Warrior was recently on Reddit promoting the film The Killer's Game, which he was a part of. He answered questions from the fans as part of a thread. When asked about wrestlers he'd love to face outside the company, Drew named AEW's Will Ospreay and Kazuchika Okada, Joe Hendry from TNA, and NJPW's Tetsuya Naito and Tomohiro Ishii.
Screenshots of the thread can be found below.
Among those he mentioned, McIntyre only has to share the ring with Will Ospreay. Although they may be unlikely to face off again soon due to being in rival companies, the door may not be closed completely, as no one can tell what will happen.
