AEW star Bryan Danielson is one of the most recognizable wrestlers of all time. He has performed in several promotions across the globe, including juggernauts such as ROH and WWE. Furthermore, he might become the new AEW World Champion later this month.
Danielson joined the Jacksonville-based company in 2021 and has had a favorable run there so far. Interestingly, he is best known for his work in WWE, he won a plethora of titles such as the WWE Championship, the World Heavyweight Championship, the WWE Intercontinental Championship, and more. Additionally, some of his opponents included big names such as AJ Styles, Dolph Ziggler, Roman Reigns, and the legendary, John Cena.
Many long-term fans of wrestling consider Cena the GOAT. He and Danielson locked horns at SummerSlam 2013 and according to the latter, battling the Cenation leader was a surreal experience. Moreover, for a long time, this showdown was his favorite match he had in the WWE.
"Wrestling John was always interesting because the fans react so vociferously with him. Like both positive and negative. There are people who love him and people who hate him and they react back and forth. To that point, that was my favorite match that I had in WWE....It was a really cool moment in my career," he said.
