A report recently surfaced regarding the status of a major title heading into All In 2024. The report seems to hint at a potential title change at the event. This would be the AEW American Championship.
Two weeks ago, both MJF and Will Ospreay faced off in a 59-minute contest which saw a new AEW International Champion being crowned. However last week after addressing his new title reign, MJF discarded the previous title and revealed that he was rebranding it to become the American Championship.
A report from Fightful Select has now talked about the reasons behind this change. It was reported that the rebranding of the title was done to increase some heat on MJF ahead of All In. This may hint that this rebranding may only have been temporary, and a title change may be in the works at the event. There have also been plans to continue to elevate the title. Therefore, Ospreay could regain the title at All In and rename it back to being the International Title.

The report also revealed that for a few months now, MJF and Will Ospreay having a match at All In was in the pipeline and all that has happened in the past few months has been building up to this.
A potential future feud with MJF after AEW All In may not push through
With MJF and Will Ospreay's bout being one of the highlights of All In, all eyes will be on the current feud and the potential finish for the match at the pay-per-view.
With the current flow of the storyline, it seems that the Wolf of Wrestling currently has his hands full with the Aerial Assassin, but he may encounter a potential feud with Daniel Garcia in the future after taking him out a few weeks ago. However, current reports have suggested that this may still be something that is in the works, with Garcia's contract status being unknown.
Bryan Alvarez on the Wrestling Observer Radio recently revealed that Daniel Garcia being written off TV was done in the case that he does not re-sign with AEW. This means that the potential future feud he may have with MJF may not even happen completely.
Fans will have to stay tuned to further developments regarding the storyline, and the future of the AEW American Championship after All In.
