Adam Copeland made his highly anticipated comeback at AEW Worlds End, and he didn't come alone. The Rated-R Superstar is now partnered with FTR, and Dax Harwood recently opened up about their alliance.

Copeland is good friends with FTR's Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler in real life, and the three all live close together in Asheville, North Carolina. Their bonds were strengthened after Hurricane Helene swept through the region, and both Adam Copeland and the former Revival have been helping in recovery efforts.

Harwood spoke with WrestleZone's Bill Pritchard ahead of RatedFTR's match against The Death Riders in Asheville tonight. He was asked whether the three men had plotted out their future together or if they were just seeing how it went on tonight's Dynamite:

"No, oh no. We’ve been talking about this [since] before he came to AEW, when it was only a thought of him coming to AEW," said Dax. "Like you said, we have been part of a lot of groups. The funny part is, we get a lot of flak online, that we latch onto these people or whatever, but the crazy part to me is, even going back to FTRKO, do you think that, especially in the position we were in there, do you think it was Cash and myself that went to Vince [McMahon] and Sid, ‘Hey, put us with Randy.’ Randy said, ‘I would like to be with these guys.’ Same with [CM] Punk, CMFTR. (...) It’s everyone else that wants to work with us, and obviously, we are so ecstatic to work with them."

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

Harwood further illustrated how strong FTR's bond with Adam Copeland is:

"But this with Adam, I think it’s way different. Adam lives seven minutes from my house. His daughters are friends with my daughter. Me, Adam, and Cash have been friends for well over ten years. We have a wrestling school together. We call and talk to each other every single day, and we’re very like-minded, even outside the business. But in wrestling, this was our first love, and I’ll never forget that, and I’m sure they won’t either. So we’re very, very like-minded inside the ring, inside the business, but also outside. So I know it’s going to be a hell of a ride," Harwood said. [H/T Fightful]

Adam Copeland is ready to push forward after return from injury

Adam Copeland was having the time of his life as TNT Champion early this year, but a fractured tibia put a stop to his run at Double or Nothing in May. Now that he's back, he has some grand plans for the future.

Copeland and FTR will face off with The Death Riders first, but whether or not they defeat Jon Moxley's crew, The Rated-R Superstar has his eyes on a main event slot—and potentially Moxley's AEW World Championship.

The former WWE Superstar also recently disclosed that he wants to wrestle in Arena Mexico. With AEW now partnered with CMLL and several All Elite stars having competed in the historic arena in 2024, that dream could come true this year.

Adam Copeland has said that there are plenty of stories left for him to tell, so he plans to ride the wave as high as he can over the next couple of years before ultimately hanging up his boots. Whether the WWE Hall of Famer can become a World Champion again remains to be seen.
