Major star challenges Mercedes Mone to a match outside AEW days ahead of All In 2024

AEW star Mercedes Mone currently is a double champion as she holds All Elite Wrestling's TBS Title and NJPW's Strong Women's Championship. Recently a major star from STARDOM has challenged Mone for a match at the upcoming New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Capital Collision event.

Mercedes Mone has been having some dream matches ever since she signed with AEW earlier this year and it seems like she's up for another major clash at Capital Collision as Mone was challenged by STARDOM wrestler Momo Watanabe for the Strong Women's Title on August 30. Mercedes is also scheduled to defend her TBS Women's Title against Britt Baker at All In on August 25.

On X (formerly known as Twitter), NJPW Global shared the promo of Momo Watanabe where she issued the challenge to Mercedes Mone for Capital Collision.

Deonna Purrazzo wants to face AEW star Mercedes Mone in a submission match

Mercedes Mone has been one of the biggest signings of AEW this year and captured the TBS Championship in her in-ring debut at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view.

AEW star Deonna Purrazzo recently spoke with Stephanie Chase about her dream match with Mercedes Mone in the future. She recalled how she interacted with Mone in WWE while being an enhancement talent and stated that she would live to face The CEO in a submissions match as both women are submission specialists.

"We had never crossed paths before. Obviously, we knew each other and if I was up for RAW or SmackDown or was an extra, we would say hello, but in terms of getting to know each other and sharing a locker room with each other, wrestling each other, that’s never happened. I feel that’s on the bucket list for me. My dream match with her [Mercedes Mone] would be a submission match. We both cemented our careers on kind of being submission specialists. She has won championships all over the world with her submission, and so have I. If we were to work together, that would be my ultimate match, a submission match with Mercedes Mone." [H/T Fightful]

Mercedes Mone will defend her TBS Women's Championship against Britt Baker at All In. It will be interesting to see if she manages to retain her title at Wembley Stadium.
