There appears to be a major update on Eddie Kingston’s condition amidst his injury hiatus from AEW. This will no doubt mount the excitement from the fans.

Kingston has been away from the ring after getting injured in early 2024. He was supposed to team up with FTR and Bryan Danielson to take on The Elite but had to be pulled from the event after suffering a tibial fracture, a torn ACL, and a torn meniscus.

He was initially supposed to be out till May 2025 but there seems to be some good news. Wrestler and fitness coach Cezar Bononi, who has been helping Kingston rehab during his injury, took to Instagram to post a positive update. He wrote:

“What an incredible moment, yes everyone, he’s back!! Another amazing video is on the way with the incredible Eddie Kingston, so stay tuned to watch the full video on my YouTube channel, which will be released this week!”

Eddie Kingston says he has not spoken with Jon Moxley

Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston are close friends. Despite what transpired between the two, there is still respect between them.

However last September, Kingston revealed that he had not spoken to the World Champion in months. Speaking on The DAVINCI Report, Kingston said:

“I don't know what's going on with [Jon Moxley]. I haven't talked to him in three or four months. I don't know what's going on with him with this whole Darby [Allin] thing. I knew something was up because we text each other at least once or twice a week, just funny stuff, nothing about wrestling. A funny meme or a stupid Instagram thing, just to make each other laugh. He's doing his thing. I have nothing against what he's doing. [I'm] not needed right now, I don't think.”

A lot of things have changed since then. With Jon Moxley now back to being the World Champion, it will be interesting to see how Kingston will react once he makes his comeback.
