AEW is less than a week away from the final two television specials of 2024, and the final pay-per-view of the year. Tony Khan's company will then kick off the new year with a very important event. Adam Cole, Mercedes Moné, and the rest of the All Elite stars are gearing up as the Jacksonville-based promotion prepares for its seventh year in action.

Adam Cole will challenge MJF for his Dynamite Diamond Ring at the PPV. The Panama City Playboy has since announced that he will have special enforcers at ringside when he faces The Wolf of Wrestling. Cole has called on two of his Undisputed Kingdom stablemates to serve in the role: Matt Taven and Mike Bennett. Maxwell Jacob Friedman is the only AEW star to win the Dynamite Diamond Ring since its inception in 2019.

The CEO's next title defense has also been announced for Worlds End on December 28 in Orlando. Officials confirmed this week that Moné will defend her TBS Championship against Kris Statlander at the pay-per-view. This is a rematch from Moné's Mercedes' win at Full Gear and comes after the champion accepted a challenge at the live Christmas Collision.

All Elite Wrestling's second annual Worlds End PPV is set to close the year. Along with the Continental Classic semi-finals and final, the pay-per-view will feature several other high-stakes matches. International Champion Konosuke Takeshita will defend against Powerhouse Hobbs, Women's World Champion Mariah May will face Thunder Rosa in a Tijuana Street Fight, and Jon Moxley will defend the World Championship in a Fatal Four-Way with Jay White, Adam Page, and Orange Cassidy.

Cole has not wrestled since defeating O'Reilly at the Winter Is Coming Dynamite on December 11. The former Sasha Banks wrestled at the Holiday Bash Dynamite on Wednesday night, retaining the TBS Championship over Anna Jay, just days after retaining the NJPW Strong Women's Championship over Hazuki at Strong Style Evolved.

AEW Fight for The Fallen updated lineup

All Elite Wrestling will debut at Harrah's Cherokee Center in Asheville, NC on January 1 for the sixth annual Fight for The Fallen edition of Dynamite. AEW will begin 2025 with a benefit show to assist victims of Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina. Below is the updated lineup:

  1. Jamie Hayter vs. the returning Julia Hart
  2. FTR is bringing someone with them to confront The Death Riders
  3. Jon Moxley, Mariah May, Mercedes Moné, Orange Cassidy, Darby Allin, Kris Statlander, Adam Page, Willow Nightingale, and Orange Cassidy are also advertised

Adam Copeland is expected to return to AEW at Fight for The Fallen. The former Edge of WWE also lives in Asheville and is good friends with Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler. The two-time TNT Champion has been on the shelf since May with a fractured tibia.
