A major upset occurred tonight during the Zero Hour of the Forbidden Door pay-per-view, with a popular AEW star pinning a former women's champion. This would be Mariah May defeating Saraya in the Women's Owen Hart Cup Tournament.

The two British stars were butting heads in the quarterfinals of the tournament. A world title opportunity was up for grabs, and several of the top stars on the promotion were eyeing the prize.
This was not their first time sharing the ring, as they had a one-on-one match earlier this month. During this match, Saraya got the best of May, much to Toni Storm's dismay.
Tonight at the pay-per-view was The Glamour's chance for retribution and a chance for her to inch closer to winning the tournament. It was a well-matched affair, and chaos began to stir after both Harley Cameron and Toni Storm got involved in the match. In the end, Mariah May was able to pull through, pinning her opponent with a roll-up pin.

Now, Mariah May has advanced to the semifinals of the tournament as she'll take on Hikaru Shida who defeated Deonna Purrazzo last night on AEW Collision. On the other side of the bracket, Willow Nightingale will face Kris Statlander in a grudge match.
