Former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor on his relationship with AEW star Adam Copeland

The Prince, Finn Balor kicked out Adam Copeland (fka Edge) from The Judgment Day in 2022 which kickstarted their huge rivalry. Balor and Edge competed in several matches and their rivalry culminated in a brutal Hell in a Cell Match at WWE WrestleMania 39, where The Rated R Superstar defeated the former Universal Champion.

In a recent appearance with WTSpod, Finn Balor opened up about his relationship with Adam Copeland and revealed that he greatly admired the Rated R Superstar. The Judgment Day member further revealed how he thought his match against Edge would be a one-off but how their rivalry lasted almost a year.

"I always admired Edge, like obviously as a fan when I was a kid... like I didn't really appreciate him at the time, like how good he was, and then when him and Christian kind of retired, I came to WWE, so we just kind of missed each other. The relationship with me and Edge, like it's been going on for a long time of trying to get things together before we actually did work, and then when we did work, I didn't think it was going to last nine months, I thought it was going to be a one and done," Finn Balor said. Finn Balor recently turned on Damian Priest and kicked the latter out of The Judgment Day. It will be interesting to see what shape this storyline between the two former friends takes.
