A former ECW Champion stated that Malakai Black had a curtain call moment on AEW Dynamite this week. Tommy Dreamer also addressed Black's future in the ring.
On the most recent episode of AEW Dynamite, Malakai Black made his singles return after months in a match against Adam Cole. The match was amazing as expected. In the end, Cole secured the win over Black.
After the match, Adam and Malakai shared a handshake and a little hug which seemed like a farewell to Black. Meanwhile, the former ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer shared his opinion on what happened with Black after his match on AEW Dynamite. Speaking on Busted Open After Dark, Dreamer stated the following:
"I thought it was a very very good match and then something interesting happened, and I though it was weird but then for the first time in a long time I'm on social media. They shook hands at the end of the match and kinda hugged and they gave him a nice farewell to Malakai Black who usually wrestles as a heel."
The veteran further explained how Malakai had his curtain call and addressed his potential future:
"Don't know his status... don't know what that was all about, it was just weird, it was respectful and then it was just almost like their own curtain call. Cool stuff to see, hopefully he sticks around AEW or if he goes back to WWE who the hell knows. But it was just a interesting, interesting ending." [From 15:25 to 16:19]

Malakai Black suffered only his third singles loss in AEW
Ever since his AEW debut back in 2021, Malakai Black was pinned by only Cody Rhodes in 2021 and Adam Copeland (fka Edge) earlier this year. After his loss to Adam Cole, Black suffered his third singles loss in All Elite Wrestling.
Henceforth, only time will tell what the future has in store for the former NXT Champion after his loss on AEW Dynamite.
