Two WWE legends told Mandy Rose that she lacked "sass" after she joined the Stamford-based company. The stars being discussed here are Lita and Chris Jericho.

The Golden Goddess joined WWE in 2015 through the company's reality competition series called Tough Enough. She had a decent run in the promotion and even held the NXT Women's Championship once. She was unfortunately released from the company in December 2022.

While speaking on her Power Alphas podcast, Rose revealed that Lita and Chris Jericho played a major role in developing her on-screen character in WWE.

"I always think back and thank them for doing this because it kind of like changed the whole trajectory of my Tough Enough career and WWE career. Lita (Amy Dumas) and Chris Jericho, one day, sat me aside, and it was like still the beginning, kind of towards the middle I would say of the series, and they said, 'You know listen, everyone loves you,'" Mandy Rose said. Rose went on:

"'You obviously are the total package. You have the looks, you have the personality, you have all these things, you have the athleticism. We think without wrestling experience you can get there, eventually. It's going to take time, but there's one thing you're like kind of missing.' They told me that they were like, 'You need to like bring it more. You need to bring that sass.' So then, Mandy Rose was born." [20:55 - 22:12]

What the future has in store for the 33-year-old star remains to be seen.

Why has Mandy Rose not joined AEW yet?

After she departed from WWE, word on the street was that Mandy Rose might join hands with rival promotion AEW. However, no such thing happened. While speaking on her Power Alphas podcast, the 33-year-old star commented on why she had not joined the Jacksonville-based promotion yet.

The former leader of Toxic Attraction stated that she had not decided if she wanted to step inside the squared circle again. However, she did not completely reject the idea of returning to wrestling in the future. She has kept her options open.

AEW fans will have to wait and see if the former WWE Superstar ends up joining the Tony Khan-led promotion.
