WWE legend Madusa recently opened up about her time in AEW. During her stay in the promotion, the 61-year-old noticed that many female stars declined to attend Dustin Rhodes' free training sessions. Madusa worked for the Stamford-based promotion under the ring name Alundra Blayze from 1993 to 1995. She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015, and the veteran has made sporadic appearances for the promotion in the past five years.

In 2020, the erstwhile Alundra Blayze was the presenter for AEW's Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament: The Deadly Draw. She presented the championship cup to the tournament winners, Ivelisse and Diamante, on the August 22 episode of Dynamite.

Speaking on her YouTube channel, the WWE Hall of Famer disclosed that she participated in the open training sessions during her stay in AEW. Current AEW star Dustin Rhodes conducted the sessions. However, Madusa revealed that many female stars skipped practice because it was not mandatory. The former WWE 24/7 Champion admitted she was left a ''little baffled!''

“So we were getting ready to start, and I’m like, ‘Where’s everybody?’ And he’s like, ‘Well, it’s voluntary!’ And I’m like, ‘So it’s free? You got Dustin Rhodes training the girls; where are they? Why aren’t they here?’ And I was a little baffled,'' she revealed. [From 1:00 to 1:20]

WWE legend Madusa points out that many females become wrestlers only for the money

During her stay in AEW, Madusa noticed that the many women on the roster lacked passion for the pro wrestling business. She stated that a sizable chunk of the female stars were only in the business to make money and not out of love for the profession.

"It really opened my eyes to how the women, not all of them, may look at this business as a meal ticket, as money only, or do they really respect it? Are they that much of a c***? You know what I’m saying?” she added. [From 3:00 to 3:27]

The veteran even gave an example of a female star without revealing the latter's name. Madusa revealed that the star used an injury excuse to skip open training sessions, even though she looked perfectly fine.
