AEW star Mariah May successfully defended her Women's World Championship after turning the tables for her opponent. She defeated Thunder Rosa in a vicious contest at the Worlds End pay-per-view.

La Mera Mera had her eyes on the AEW World Champion for a long time and picked up significant wins over the last few months. She won multiple matches during her rivalry with Harley Cameron. However, things weren't looking good for her once she laid her eyes on The Glamour.

Mariah May went personal and passed comments on her family during their feud. She also claimed to make Thunder Rosa's father cry after ending the latter's career. To settle this intense rivalry, the duo decided to wrestle in a Tijuana Street Fight match. Rosa's father was in the front row to support her at the event.

May and Rosa used tables, thumbtacks, chains, trash cans, and other weapons to take each other out. However, La Mera Mera had another trick up her sleeves. Her father bought sand from Tijuana grave, which would have been a huge advantage for Thunder Rosa, but her plan backfired during the climax of the match.

While the former AEW Women's World Champion held May with chain, the latter threw Tijuana sand in her eyes and delivered Storm Zero through the table to retain her title.

It remains to be seen who will be the next challenger for Mariah May's AEW Women's World Championship.
