Former AEW star Mark Henry has claimed that Jacob Fatu has the potential to be "The Guy" in WWE. The 279-pound star recently made his debut and joined the SmackDown roster.

In April 2024, it was revealed that WWE had signed The Samoan Werewolf. The 32-year-old made his debut on the June 21, 2024, episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Fatu made quick work of Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton before aligning with the Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline.

During a recent episode of the Busted Open podcast, Bully Ray and Mark Henry discussed the arrival of Jacob Fatu in WWE. The 53-year-old Hall of Famer stated that the new Bloodline member has the potential to become one of the top stars in the Stamford-based promotion.

"It's amazing that in this era of wrestling, you can get a reaction from somebody who's never worked for a company. A lot of times, when you have a surprise, is, 'Oh, this guy's back, or this guy has been trending to be a star!' Like Jacob [Fatu] is on the Indies, cream the crop. But a lot of times we don't associate, as wrestling fans, the Indie guy with, 'Oh, he's the guy!'" he said.

The former WWE Superstar added:

"This dude is the first guy since Kevin Owens, maybe, to come from the Indies that has the potential to be the guy in wrestling and to go into The Bloodline, which has been the most successful saga for the last four years. You talk about putting jet fuel in the gasoline? Brother, that was an injection of some serious power!" [0:45 - 1:52]

Bill Apter was impressed by Jacob Fatu's WWE debut

During the recent episode of Sportskeeda's UnSKripted podcast, Bill Apter commented on Jacob Fatu's debut in the Stamford-based promotion. The veteran was thoroughly impressed with The Samoan Werewolf's maiden performance on the blue brand show.

The Samoan Werewolf made his entry through the crowd and blindsided Owens, Orton, and Rhodes. No theme music was played during his surprise entrance, but still, his arrival left a solid impact on the wrestling universe.

It will be interesting to see how Jacob Fatu gets booked in the coming weeks.
