After finishing first in the Gold League, the former WWE Superstar secured a spot in the semi-finals of the tournament against Kazuchika Okada. Meanwhile, Will Ospreay pinned Kyle Fletcher and will compete in the final later in the night.
At Worlds End, the crowd was clearly against Ricochet, as he has become one of the most despised stars on the roster. Fans in attendance came up with several creative chants during the contest and were on the side of Okada despite him being a heel. The Human Highlight Reel was unfazed by this, and the chants seemingly kept on fueling him.

There were several moments in the match where it seemed like The Future of Flight would advance to the final, but this only resulted in near-falls. He attempted to hit his Spirit Gun finisher but ended up missing the mark on multiple occasions.
Kazuchika Okada only needed one shot to put away Ricochet, and he ultimately hit the Rainmaker to capture the win. Now Okada will face Will Ospreay later in the night with the Continental Championship on the line.

If allowed to produce one final storyline involving his idols, he would have Orton lock horns with John Cena, would be their one last big feud as both of them seem to be approaching the tail end of their careers.
