Jon Moxley and The Death Riders have become a major nuisance in AEW as of late, owing to their actions. However, there is a chance that a huge star may return to action soon to confront the heel stable.
The star in question is Kenny Omega. The Cleaner has been absent from the Jacksonville-based promotion for quite some time. However, he is still one of the biggest stars in AEW. His last match was against Ethan Page on Collision, back in December 2023. However, he has been absent the whole of 2024 due to diverticulitis.
Answering a question about Kenny Omega's potential return at Worlds End on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp stated:
"I would imagine something with Okada, Ospreay, or both. Maybe an outside possibility of Death Riders. The plan had long been to resume the angle that wrote Kenny off TV with Okada, but a lot has happened since then."

If The Cleaner returns to action, being an AEW EVP, he is sure to stand up against The Death Riders. Omega might even face Jon Moxley for the World Title.
Another star wants a rematch with Kenny Omega in AEW
While Kenny Omega has been absent for quite some time from the active wrestling scene, Kip Sabian wants a rematch with The Cleaner.
The last time the two faced each other was in 2019. However, Kip Sabian thinks that if they were to fight each other again, he would be the one to take the win. Taking to social media, Kip stated:
"A true highlight of the good ol’ days. Excited to be able to go back and watch early years @AEW content on @StreamOnMax very soon. But I’ll tell you one thing I want for Christmas.. @KennyOmegamanX one more time. A lot has changed in 5 years, old friend."
Omega is yet to return to the company's active scene. However, he's slated to face Gabe Kidd in NJPW Wrestle Dynasty in January. It remains to be seen if Kip Sabian will get to have his rematch down the line in All Elite Wrestling.
