An incredibly talented star who has performed in AEW several times recently sustained a serious injury. The individual in question, El Hijo Del Vikingo, has now shared an update concerning his health.
Vikingo was in action against Trent Seven on the October 27 tapings of IMPACT. The luchador extraordinaire seemingly hurt his leg while trying to execute a springboard dive off the top rope on his opponent, after which officials checked him out and later stretchered him out of the arena.
Taking to his Instagram, Vikingo recently provided an update on his health status. He revealed that while the injury to his right knee had not caused any serious damage to his ligaments or muscles, the star had been advised to rest for five days to wait for the inflammation to go down. The Mexican wrestler also disclosed that he will be out of action for over two weeks.

"On Sunday I had a strong blow to my right knee, thank God it did not affect any ligaments or muscles, I have to rest for 5 days while the swelling goes down, then start rehabilitation until I am 100% recovered, I will be out for 15 to 20 days, thanks to @tnawrestling @luchalibreaaa for being attentive, thank you very much, also thanks to everyone who took the time to send me a message, thank you," wrote Vikingo.

The 27-year-old star had notably suffered a ruptured ligament earlier this year, which had put him on the shelf for several months. Sportskeeda Wrestling wishes Vikingo a very swift and safe recovery.
El Hijo Del Vikingo's recent work in AEW this year
Many consider El Hijo Del Vikingo one of the most talented and inspiring wrestlers in the world today. He has worked a number of matches in AEW since last year, last appearing in the Tony Khan-led promotion in a four-way number one contender match for the AEW International Championship on Rampage in January, which Komander ultimately won.
Earlier that same month, Vikingo competed in another four-way bout to decide the challenger for the Continental Title on AEW Dynamite. The bout also featured Brian Cage, Bryan Keith, and eventual winner Trent Beretta.
