AEW star Malakai Black is currently the leader of the House of Black faction. Apart from him, this faction consists of Brody King, Julia Hart, and former WWE star Buddy Matthews. Black, King, and Matthews are former AEW World Trios Champions.
Malakai Black signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2021. Before that, he was a WWE star. The 39-year-old is best known for his time in NXT, where he won the NXT Championship once. So far, The Antihero's run in the Jacksonville-based company has been polarizing. Through early and mid-2024, he took part in in-ring action several times. However, the Dutch professional wrestler has been absent from AEW TV since November. This has led to speculation that his time in the Tony Khan-led promotion may end soon, with a possible return to the Stamford-based company on the cards.
Recently, a Florida-based wrestling promotion named Coastal Championship Wrestling announced on X that Malakai Black will debut for the company at its Havoc & Haze 9 event on Saturday, January 11.

In Black's last in-ring outing, he and Brody King locked horns with Private Party, The Acclaimed, and The Outrunners in a Four-way Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at Full Gear 2024. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the former NXT Champion.
Malakai Black's wife, Zelina Vega, revealed that he helped her improve her in-ring skills
WWE star Zelina Vega is a member of the Latino World Order stable. The group is led by the legendary Rey Mysterio and also consists of Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde, and Dragon Lee.
Vega is married to Malakai Black. Interestingly, in a 2024 appearance on Busted Open Radio, the former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion revealed that her husband was instrumental in her improved in-ring skills.
"He's really good at breaking down every single thing. I need somebody who's going to be extremely raw with me and tells me, 'This is what you're doing right; this what you're doing wrong.' Having time with him has helped so so much," she said. [H/T: TOI]
Malakai and Zelina tied the knot in 2018. They reportedly met during their time in WWE.
