Swerve Strickland became the new AEW World Champion at Dynasty 2024. He is now the first African-American pro wrestler to win a championship in the Jacksonville-based promotion. Many prominent names have reacted to the star's victory on Twitter.

AEW Dynasty's main event featured Strickland taking on Samoa Joe for the gold. After enjoying a dominant championship run for nearly four months, The Samoan Submission Machine lost to his opponent. The former Hit Row member hit the Swerve Stomp on Joe to secure the win.

Following Swerve Strickland's victory on Sunday, many AEW stars and other pro wrestling personalities took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

Former TNT Champion Darby Allin tweeted Strickland's popular catchphrase after the latter's memorable win.

"Whose house," Allin tweeted.

Strickland's former on-screen rival, Dusti Rhodes, shared the following message after Dynasty:

AEW backstage personality Renee Paquette seemed elated at Strickland's remarkable achievement, as she posted the following message:

"Congratulating Swerve, Renee Paquette wrote. Whose House?! Congrats champ! @swerveconfident."

Brian Cage and Orange Cassidy also reacted to Strickland dethroning Samoa Joe as World Champion.

"Whose house? Champs house," Brian Cage acknowledged the new AEW World Champion.

Orange Cassidy dropped a one-word celebratory message for the champion on Twitter and it was "Swerve."

Brian Cage had full faith in Swerve Strickland

Before the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view on Sunday, April 21, Swerve Strickland's stablemate, Brian Cage, sat down for an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling.

While talking to Sportskeeda Wrestling's Senior Editor Bill Apter, Cage claimed that Strickland would win the AEW World Championship from Samoa Joe at Dynasty.

"But that also means we're predicting that Swerve is going to lose (....) Come on! Swerve is going to win (...) I said to him, it's his house, but we live there too. Swerve is a phenomenal athlete, on the top of his game. Mega over right now! It's definitely his time. But you know, he's our guy, even if people legitimately thought Joe is going to win, I still got to go with Swerve because it's loyalty," he said.

Brian Cage also teased that he might go after the leader of the Mogul Embassy following his World Title win at Dynasty in a friendly competition. It would be interesting to see if The Machine challenges his ally in the coming weeks.
