A former World Champion wasn't allowed to be on AEW TV a few years ago. Matt Hardy has now given his thoughts on the situation.

Mark and Jay Briscoe were one of the greatest tag teams of this generation. For several years, they wrestled across multiple independent promotions in the world and won titles everywhere they went.

However, The Briscoe Brothers were known for being controversial both inside and outside the ring. Due to their controversial nature, they weren't allowed on AEW TV even after the promotion purchased Ring of Honor. Mark was only allowed to be on TV after his brother tragically passed away.

Speaking on the Konnan's Keepin' It 100 podcast, Matt Hardy found it strange that Briscoe was not allowed on TV despite trying to make amends for his controversial past.

Former WWE writer buries Judgment Day HERE

"Jay Briscoe, a lot of people, you know, really mourned heavily for that and I feel like people felt like they knew him more, you know? He was a guy that had all these kids, and especially hearing the story and like you know they really wish he apologized. He did all these steps to try and make things right or whatever else you know after they were canceled for a while, the Briscoes. They were both good dudes, and they tried to make their wrongs right and you know, it’s so strange that they didn’t even get on TV. They couldn’t even be on AEW TV until Jay Briscoe was gone, you know, and that’s what led to Mark Briscoe being on TV." [From 03:16 to 03:51]

Matt Hardy gave his honest thoughts about TNA

Matt Hardy has a close association with TNA. He was reborn with his Broken Matt Hardy gimmick a few years ago in the promotion. After leaving AEW, he went back to TNA Wrestling this year where he has been a regular feature.

During an exclusive interview with Kevin Kellam for Sportskeeda Wrestling, Matt spoke about how TNA manages to stay alive today even after a couple of disastrous years.

"(Total Nonstop Action wrestling is) still the ultimate outlaw promotion and is still on TV. You know it's very much like Matt Hardy, it will not die. And that is one thing to TNA's credit. And right now, there's been so many great additions talent-wise there. You know Joe Hendry, he's gotten so hot right now and so much of his stuff is viral. Nic Nemeth is doing an amazing job as a champion."
