Matt Hardy sends a message to AEW months after leaving the company

Matt Hardy surprisingly sent a message to AEW today. This comes months after he left the company.

Matt signed with AEW back in 2020 and was immediately inserted into some of the top storylines. However, as time passed, his prominence on Dynamite diminished, and he was mainly working on Rampage and Collision. Hardy was still a beloved act in the company despite having fallen down the ranks.

After spending a couple of years with Tony Khan's promotion, Matt decided to leave the company earlier this year. Since then, he has returned to TNA Wrestling, where he is one of the top acts. However, AEW will soon release the new Hardy Boyz action figures on Amazon. Matt has now taken to social media to thank his former employer for releasing these new figures.

Matt Hardy hasn't ruled out another AEW run

Matt Hardy's AEW run was disappointing for many of his fans. Despite starting off hot in the young promotion, inconsistent booking, injuries, and mishaps led to a diminished presence on television. Additionally, he never won any singles or tag titles in the company. However, he still hasn't ruled out returning to the promotion.

Speaking on his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt explained that he follows a never-say-never approach in his life, meaning that he hasn't closed the door on another AEW run.

"As far as going to WWE or AEW, it’s a never-say-never scenario in my world. In the extreme life of Matt Hardy, it’s a never-say-never. You never rule anything out. You never close any doors on anything. You do your best, you keep your chin up, you keep moving forward, and try to speak as honestly and as transparently as possible."

It will be interesting to see if Tony Khan will consider bringing Matt and Jeff Hardy back to AEW for another run.
