Matt Hardy sends a message to John Cena following WWE retirement announcement

John Cena received a heartwarming message from Matt Hardy after he announced his shock retirement from the WWE at Money in the Bank. This will surely be well received by the fans of boht stars.

The former AEW star has had his fair share of battles with The Leader of Cenation and despite all that, the one thing that has remained constant is the respect between the two. That was put into words by Matt Hardy following the news of his retirement.

He took to X/Twitter and hailed Cena as the GOAT and a model employee.

He wrote:

“The news of @JohnCena’s impending retirement at #MITB yesterday was huge. Got to work with John early on & even got to lay down a track with him. A true @WWE GOAT, a true hard worker, a model employee & a great dude. Congrats on an extraordinary & unprecedented career, John!”

Omos wants to fight John Cena

Not everyone was wishing John Cena a happy retirement like Matt Hardy. Some of the stars called him out to have a match and one of them is Omos.

The Nigerian giant also took to Twitter in the wake of Cena’s retirement and sent out a clear message for all to see, especially the person it was intended to. He challenged the former WWE Champion to a retirement match.

He wrote:

"GIVE ME CENA!!!!"

Omos has had run-ins with some top wrestlers in the past. Some of them include Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles. He has not been involved in any notable feud of late, so a potential one with Cena will be of great interest to the big man.

As for John Cena, he confirmed that he will be an active wrestler over the course of next year, so a feud and rivalry cannot be counted out. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for both the men.
