A top free agent is rumored to be heading to AEW and former All Elite star Matt Hardy is worried that the latter might get lost in the shuffle in Tony Khan's promotion. The star is none other than 'Speedball' Mike Bailey.
Mike Bailey joined TNA Wrestling in October 2021 and had a great tenure in the promotion until his departure on November 1st, 2024. Recent reports have revealed that the star is planning to move to AEW, and many have supported the rumored decision.
In the recent edition of the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, the former WWE star said that Mike Bailey is a great fit for All Elite Wrestling as the style of wrestling in Tony Khan's promotion is more suitable for him. Hardy further shared his experience in working with the former TNA star.
“I think he’s an ideal fit for AEW, especially with their style and the kind of matches they typically aim to produce on television. He’s going to do great out there. I have nothing but the greatest things to say about Mike Bailey. My time working with him has been a pleasure—he really gets it."

Matt Hardy hopes that Mike Bailey stands out in All Elite Wrestling and not get lost in the shuffle among other top talents:

'Speedball' Mike Bailey is one of the most talented performers in professional wrestling. He has gained popularity on the independent circuit. Bailey recently lost his TNA X-Division Championship to Moose and said his goodbyes to the locker room as his contract expired on November 1st.
In the same episode of his podcast, Matt Hardy praised Mike Bailey for being an amazing athlete and understanding storytelling in professional wrestling. Hardy said that Speedball has a great mind for the wrestling business.
