AEW star Mercedes Mone broke her silence after achieving a major feat on social media. She has been signed to AEW since March 2024 and is regularly featured on TV. She has held the TBS Championship since May 2024.
The CEO claimed she came to the Jacksonville-based promotion to globalize women's wrestling. Within a year of her arrival, she has become one of the top performers in the promotion. Mone currently holds the TBS Championship and NJPW's Strong Women's Championship.
Mercedes Mone captured the TBS Title from Willow Nightingale at Double or Nothing in her first match in the company. In the next pay-per-view, Forbidden Door, she defeated Stephanie Vaquer for the Strong Women's Title. Recently, the double champion completed 200 days as TBS Champion.
After the massive achievement, The CEO took to Twitter and claimed she was the 'greatest of all time' or the GOAT.
"200 days as the TBS Champion. Moné changes the everything, and I’m the greatest of all time!" she wrote.
Eric Bischoff slams Mercedes Mone's AEW run
The TBS Champion has had good matches on the Jacksonville-based promotion. However, a veteran believes she must have been booked better.
While speaking on 83 Weeks, Eric Bischoff slammed the TBS Champion's run in the company. He claimed that Tony Khan didn't present Mone correctly in terms of creativity.
"Mercedes Mone is not old, she's relatively young, she was a massive star in WWE, massive, and she came to AEW and it's been an unmitigated disaster because of her creative and because Tony doesn't know how to produce her. In WWE she was protected because people understood what her strengths were, but more importantly, understood what her weakness were and they produced her accordingly," the Hall of Famer said.
Only time will tell how long the CEO holds the TBS Championship.
