Mercedes Mone, fka Sasha Banks, has revealed the details on when she found out that Snoop Dogg was her cousin. Mone is a top star in AEW right now.
The former IWGP Women's Champion is known to be a star in her own right but she is also related to the music legend. He even sang her theme song at WrestleMania 32. Mercedes Mone has now revealed how she found out that Snoop Dogg was her cousin for the very first time.
She was a guest on HOT 97 when she said:
"So I was born in '92, and that's when Snoop's album came out, so I didn't really know he was famous until I was like nine years old. He came to Iowa and my mom's like, 'We're going to a Snoop Dogg concert, he's your cousin,' I go, 'What? He's my cousin?'" [H/T - WrestlingInc]

Mercedes Mone also shared how Snoop Dogg inspired her to be a wrestler
In the same interview, Mercedes Mone also shed light on how Snoop Dogg took her to her first WWE WrestleMania when she was just 16 years old.
Mone joined WWE in 2012 and went on a decade long run before she quit the Stamford-based promotion. She then wrestled in Japan for a while before she joined AEW, where she is a double champion now, holding the TBS Championship and the NJPW Strong Women's championship.
She also went into detail on how he inspired her to pursue her dream of becoming a wrestler.
"He took me to my first ever WrestleMania when I was 16 years old," she recalled. "He's like, 'Dang, you really love this,' I'm like, 'I want to be a wrestler.' He goes, 'If you want to be a wrestler, I believe you, you're going to do this one day.' Fast forward 10 years later, he's walking me down the ramp at WrestleMania 32, he's talking about me in his Hall of Fame speech, he's making my theme song and rapping on it.
