Mercedes Moné, formerly known as Sasha Banks, will wrestle her first match in AEW next month and it will be for the TBS Championship.

A few weeks ago, The CEO announced that she would challenge the TBS Champion at the AEW Double or Nothing 2024 Pay-Per-View at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 26.

This past Sunday, Julia Hart lost her TBS Championship to Willow Nightingale at the Dynasty Pay-Per-View. Therefore, The CEO will now compete against Willow for the TBS Championship. AEW recently advertised Moné and Willow's match at the Double or Nothing Pay-Per-View on X/Twitter.

Reacting to the Jacksonville-based promotion's tweet, Mercedes Moné sent a four-word message.

What the future has in store for The CEO remains to be seen.

Tommy Dreamer said AEW needs to take Mercedes Moné off TV

AEW signed Mercedes Moné, formerly known as Sasha Banks, in March 2024 and she made her debut at Dynamite: Big Business in Boston, Massachusetts. The CEO had not been inside the ring ever since and former WWE Superstar Tommy Dreamer felt that this had disconnected her from the audience while speaking on the Busted Open Radio podcast.

"It's a disconnect, but if I'm not medically cleared but then somebody jumped me from behind and I'm already hurt and then I get hurt again and then I'm back the next week? If you can't do physical stuff, then maybe just kind of disappear to come back again?" Tommy Dreamer said. [H/T WrestlingINC]

Dreamer suggested that if Mone was not cleared to wrestle yet, then Tony Khan should have taken her off TV until she was ready to step inside the squared circle again. The 53-year-old veteran believes keeping The CEO on television but not booking her in matches was harming her popularity.

Moné suffered an ankle injury at NJPW Resurgence in May of last year. Only time will tell what plans Tony Khan has in store for Mercedes moving forward.
