Mercedes Mone and Bayley have become close friends due to their time in WWE. The CEO recently predicted what her friend's future in the global juggernaut could look like.
Mercedes Mone and Bayley started together in NXT. During this time, they competed against each other in one of the greatest women's matches in the company's history. Over the years, they teamed up together on television and also locked horns on several occasions before Mone's WWE departure.
Although they work for different promotions now, their friendship remains intact. In fact, Bayley was seemingly in attendance when Mone made her AEW debut.
During a recent edition of Mone Mag, The CEO revealed that The Role Model was always interested in coaching and might either start a wrestling school or become a WWE executive after retiring from in-ring competition.
“The subject of Bayley coaching the WWE’s women's roster one day came up in conversation recently. All I can say is that she’s been a natural leader for years and that coaching is something she's always talked about. I see her opening her own wrestling school someday, if not being an actual WWE executive when she hangs up her boots,” Mone said.
Dutch Mantell criticized Mercedes Mone's promo skills
Mercedes Mone made a big splash when she first debuted in AEW. However, things have changed since then. It took a couple of weeks for fans to turn on The CEO. The former WWE star has also come under heavy criticism for her skills on the microphone.
On his Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, the wrestling veteran mentioned that Mone was so terrible on the mic that he couldn't help but cringe when she talked.
"Hey when [Mercedes] Mone does an interview, I cringe. I'm going, 'God, terrible'. It just looks like memorized and she just recites the lines and there's nothing between either one of 'em [Mercedes Mone & Britt Baker]. I much prefer Toni Storm and all the rest of those guys and Saraya because they at least put some life into it, Mone does nothing." [From 01:32:27 to 01:33:02]
Despite the criticism, The CEO has managed to win the TBS Title and the NJPW Strong Women's Championship since arriving in All Elite Wrestling.
