Mercedes Mone's AEW TBS Title reign could end soon, with Kris Statlander having her eyes set on it. Interestingly, the latter has won this championship once in her career.

On the latest episode of Dynamite, Mercedes Mone locked horns with the legendary Emi Sakura for the TBS Championship and the NJPW STRONG Championship. The former Sasha Banks managed to win this match with the help of her ally, Kamille.

After the CEO's victory, she and Kamille attempted to attack the Japanese star; however, due to Kris Statlander's intervention, things didn't escalate any further.

In today's episode of Rampage, a video package of the 29-year-old was showcased. In it, she revealed that she wanted to become the TBS Champion again by defeating Mone. Additionally, she blamed the CEO for her downfall.

Mone was not too happy about Statlander's comments and posted a response to the aforementioned video package on X/Twitter.

"Go cry me a river! Everyone wants to blame me for their problems. #MoMoneNOProblems."

This statement was seemingly a direct reference to the infamous CM Punk/Jack Perry real-life feud. Punk reportedly asked Perry not to use real glass during a match. However, the TNT Champion did not listen to the former AEW World Champion and used it anyway. After this spot, he looked into the camera and said, "It's real glass, cry me a river." Punk was enraged by this, leading to the infamous backstage confrontation. Eventually, Tony Khan fired the "Best in the World."

It will be interesting to see how Mone and Statlander's rivalry develops in the upcoming weeks.

Mercedes Mone has been a fan of Emi Sakura since she was 13 years old

In the latest issue of her Mone Mag newsletter, the 32-year-old wrote about her experience wrestling Emi Sakura on Dynamite. In addition, she said that she had been a fan of the Japanese star since she was 13 years old.

"Emi is a Japanese icon and legend who's been in the wrestling business for 30 years! She is a legend and someone I've admired and have literally been watching since I was 13!" the champion wrote.
