Mercedes Mone recently had a reunion with Private Party in a backstage moment that is bound to stir some emotions in the wrestling universe. Mone and Private Party have known each other for a long time and are good friends.

The CEO is the current AEW TBS Championship and IWGP Strong Women's Champion. She won the titles in 2024 Double or Nothing and Forbidden Door respectively. Meanwhile, Private Party recently became the AEW World Tag Team Champions after defeating The Young Bucks at Fright Night Dynamite.

The former Sasha Banks recently went to her Instagram account to share a backstage picture of herself posing with the new AEW World Tag Team Champions. The photo is similar to the one they took nine years ago (in 2015) at the House of Glory training center in NYC when they were new in the wrestling business. In less than a decade they have accomplished a lot and the photograph is living proof of their accomplishments.

Mercedes Mone pushed for Women's Tag Team Titles in WWE

Mercedes Mone was a big part of the women's revolution in WWE. In the recent edition of her Mone Mag, she recalled how hard she and Bayley pushed for Women's Tag Titles in WWE. They confronted Triple H about the idea and he promised to think about it.

"Bayley and I were fighting so hard to make Tag Team Titles. I remember Hunter coming up to me at Evolution and telling me you know, we are going to get these tag team titles one day. We are going to work for it," Mone wrote.

Mone stated that the Women's Tag Team Title was very important for the female division as it gave them a purpose to fight harder. Hunter delivered on his promise and later that year in December, Vince McMahon introduced the women's tag team titles.
