Mercedes Moné is the current AEW TBS Champion. She won gold in her very first match for the company and is set to defend her title this upcoming weekend. Before she became All Elite, Moné made her name in WWE as Sasha Banks. The multi-time champion just made surprising remarks about who she worked with under her former employer.
The CEO began wrestling in August 2010, then signed a WWE developmental contract in August 2012, after working a tryout camp two months before. Snoop Dogg's cousin was on her way to making "Sasha Banks" a household name, but the journey came to an end after she walked out on the company during RAW on May 16, 2022, while she and Naomi were the Women's Tag Team Champions. Mercedes spent almost 10 years with WWE and wrestled more than 900 matches between NXT and the main roster.
Moné had a wide range of opponents in WWE. She locked horns with names like Charlotte Flair, Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Mickie James, Tamina Snuka, Lana, Natalya, Ronda Rousey, and even current co-worker Toni Storm. The polarizing pro wrestler spoke with WFAN today and agreed with the host that it was a struggle to work in the ring with someone you have bad chemistry with, or someone who isn't as good.
The 32-year-old said she has good chemistry with a lot of talents, and that she's able to put aside any issues for the business of the match. She then made telling remarks about her opponents in WWE.

"There's probably one or two people where I'm like, 'Please don't let me wrestle her, she's so dry, she doesn't give me anything... I can't think of anything fun.' But here in AEW, it's not like that. Everybody that I've been wrestling so far have just been bringing me and giving me different ideas," Mercedes Moné said. [From 19:52 to 20:07]
The host then asked if Carmella was one of the opponents she didn't like to work with. Moné dismissed this idea but said people could probably figure it out if they went back and watched her WWE matches.
"I'm not telling any names... and I had an amazing match with Carmella. We had a great match before, we tore down the house before. I'm talking about other people. Keep on guessing. [laughs] Go back and watch my matches, and you can probably... see," she added. [From 20:08 to 20:29]

The main names being speculated by fans in the comments seem to be Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross, and Ronda Rousey. Mercedes Moné has not responded to the speculations as of this writing.
Mercedes Moné to wrestle fourth AEW match
Mercedes Moné made her AEW in-ring debut at Double Or Nothing in May, defeating Willow Nightingale to become the new TBS Champion. The 18-minute match was billed as the first of a triple main event.
The CEO worked her second AEW match, and her Dynamite in-ring debut, on May 29. She retained over Skye Blue in just under eight minutes and then retained over Zeuxis in ten minutes on the June 12 edition of Dynamite.
Mercedes Moné will return to the ring at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door this weekend. She is set to face Stephanie Vaquer for the first time ever. The Winner Takes All match will see the TBS Championship up for grabs, along with the NJPW Strong Women's Championship.
The third annual Forbidden Door pay-per-view will air live from the UBS Arena in Long Island, NY this Sunday, June 30. The Zero Hour pre-show will begin at 6:30 pm ET, and end at 8 pm.
