AEW is set to present its fourth annual Dynamite: Grand Slam this Wednesday. The company will also tape the inaugural Collision: Grand Slam. Meanwhile, the Jacksonville-based promotion has announced major plans for Jack Perry for the event.
The Scapegoat is the current AEW TNT Champion. Perry captured the vacant title by winning a six-man Ladder Match at Forbidden Door on June 30, and since then he has retained over Marko Stunt, Darby Allin, Lio Rush, and Christopher Daniels. The 27-year-old is currently a member of The Elite with Kazuchika Okada and The Young Bucks, who already have big matches confirmed for the 2024 Grand Slam.
Perry will defend his TNT Championship in an Open Challenge on Wednesday night at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, NYC. The match will air on Saturday's Collision special. AEW's X account noted that Perry had issued the challenge himself.
"The SCAPEGOAT Jack Perry (@boy_myth_legend) has issued an open challenge for #AEWGrandSlam! Who will step up to face the champion TOMORROW in NYC?" the post stated.
