Michael Cole has been with the WWE for more than 25 years. The 57-year-old has called some of the most iconic matches in the promotion's history and is well-respected by his peers. Currently, he appears on the RAW brand.

Recently, an unseen photo of Cole began making the rounds on X/Twitter. Many in the WWE Universe used the image to mock AEW since the veteran commentator was seemingly sitting in an empty arena. The rivalry between the Stamford-based promotion and All Elite Wrestling is common knowledge. Fans of both companies often get into online arguments.

X/Twitter user @FadeAwayMedia posted the abovementioned picture of Cole with the following caption:

"MICHAEL COLE IS ALL ELITE 😂 #WWERAW"

The X/Twitter user was seemingly making fun of AEW with Cole's picture because recent reports have suggested that the promotion has been struggling with attendance-related issues at its weekly shows.

In response to the post, several World Wrestling Entertainment fans united to mock the Jacksonville-based company. Most viewers made fun of the empty seats. Meanwhile, others simply posted laughing emojis.

Jim Ross recently said he does not talk to WWE's Michael Cole that often

Jim Ross and Michael Cole worked together in the global juggernaut for several years. Although they currently represent different companies, Ross has immense respect for his former colleague.

On a recent episode of Grilling JR, the 72-year-old said the following about his relationship with Cole:

"Always very respectful. I always liked Michael. I don't know that we ever had any significant bad words with each other. Nice guy. His dad's a cop in Jersey. He's a good guy. I liked Michael a lot, [and] still do. I don't talk to him. Occasionally, on the holidays perhaps, or a birthday or some special occasion, I will drop him a text. He always responds. He's always polite," Ross said.

Michael Cole is a four-time Slammy Award winner. Additionally, The Baltimore Sun once gave him the Non-Wrestling Performer of the Year award.
