A top AEW star wars namedropped during WWE RAW's debut on Netflix by Michael Cole. This was unexpected and something that the fans might not have expected.

WWE RAW made its debut on Netflix this past Monday and it was a resounding hit. There were a lot of great matches and a lot of memorable moments too. From the return of The Undertaker to Hulk Hogan, the show had it all.

The first ever match to be featured on Netflix on the day was Roman Reigns taking on Solo Sikoa for the honor of being called the Undisputed Tribal Chief. Roman came out on top and was later acknowledged by The Rock himself.

During that match, as Roman was taking on Solo, Michael Cole namedropped AEW star Adam Copeland. He was involved in a great match against Roman Reigns at the 2021 Money in the Bank show. Reigns came out on top and continued his ascent as one of the top stars in WWE.

Sheamus thought AEW star Adam Copeland was going to stay in WWE

Adam Copeland left WWE in 2023 and his last match in the company was against Sheamus. It was on the 25th anniversary of SmackDown and the AEW star came out on top.

He later moved to AEW and made his debut to confront Christian Cage and since then, he has been having a good time there. Sheamus recently revealed that he did not think Copeland was going to leave WWE. Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on his Insight show, he said:

"We talked about it. I remember we talked about doing an angle or a storyline together for a while. We came up with a storyline, it was shot down for whatever reason. And then it just happened. I just got a call, I think it was because we did a promo the week before, and then we did the match the week after. Edge’s contract was coming up. I didn’t know. No one knew if he was going to stay or go. No one really knew. I didn’t know. I thought he was going to stay, because we’re talking doing something after that as well. But yeah, it was just a situation."

The two have gone their separate ways since then but it is clear that they are still good friends.
