Miro (fka Rusev) has been away from AEW programming since Worlds End in December 2023. He has now revealed what he's been up to by uploading a video on Instagram.

The former United States Champion has been active in wrestling since the late 2000s. He joined WWE in 2010, working with the Stamford-based company's developmental territory, FCW. He made his NXT TV debut in 2013 as Rusev. The Bulgarian Brute made his main roster debut at Royal Rumble 2014. He parted ways with the company in 2020 and joined AEW in the same year.

Miro's last AEW match was on 30 December at Worlds End, where he defeated Andrade El Idolo. The former AEW TNT Champion posted a behind-the-scenes video of a Hollywood project he's been associated with. He thanked Edward John Drake for casting him and directing the film.

"On set with my favorite guy Kevin James! Thank you @edwardjohndrake for casting me and directing this fun, entertaining, and action-packed movie. Coming soon."

Drake has earlier directed movies starring Hollywood icon Bruce Willis, including Cosmic Sin (2021) and Detective Knight: Rogue (2022).

Miro's return to the ring is uncertain

AEW fans often wonder when and where Miro will be seen next. However, his return to the ring is uncertain, given his injury.

His return to the ring was planned for Meat Madness at Revolution but was pulled due to injury. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, speaking in a Q&A session, has revealed details about the situation.

“Miro, he is still sidelined. They were hoping he would only be out for two-to-three months, but that wasn’t the case. I don’t know if he’s still injured, but as of AEW Revolution, he was,'' SRS said.
