A top WWE star is reportedly AEW-bound, and the rumors have had mixed feelings among wrestling fans, with some claiming that the latter is Miro's replacement. The name in question is none other than Bobby Lashley.
The Almighty returned to WWE in 2018 and had a successful run. He managed to become the WWE Champion for the first time in his career in 2020 and had a second reign after winning the title back at Royal Rumble 2022. However, since Triple H took over as Head of Creative in 2022, Bobby Lashley's booking took a huge turn as the veteran was barely put in top storylines.
The 48-year-old legend departed from the Stamford-based promotion in August 2024, and recent reports have revealed that Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP have signed contracts with AEW in the past few weeks. MVP and Shelton Benjamin have already made their television debuts in All Elite Wrestling, and the fans are eager to see when The Almighty will show up on Dynamite.

Fans claimed that All Elite Wrestling has become the retirement home for WWE, and another fan stated Bobby Lashley was Miro's replacement as The Redeemer is reportedly set to leave the company soon.
Despite the backlash above, some fans were excited to see the potential debut of Bobby Lashley in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
"He wasn’t being used in WWE, happy for him." A fan tweeted.
"They got a solid one with Bobby Lashley." a fan claimed.
"That’s awesome I thought he would end up there. Will be happy to see him on TV." another fan tweeted.
Sam Roberts believes former WWE star Bobby Lashley could be a great heel in AEW
The recent reports about Bobby Lashley potentially arriving in AEW have been spreading all over social media, and many wrestling personalities have shared their takes on the rumor.
On the Notsam Wrestling podcast, RAW Talk host Sam Roberts stated that Bobby Lashley debuting in All Elite Wrestling as a dominant heel could be a great character for him.
"Lashley coming in as a villainous heel voice of experience in AEW being the voice of veterans who don't like AEW would be an excellent character. That would acknowledge the sort of negative response that AEW gets but put it in a package of a villain, which now makes it, 'okay then if we cheer the good guys its good to like AEW,'" he said.
Bobby Lashley will likely join MVP and Shelton Benjamin after he arrives in the Jacksonville-based promotion. It will be interesting to see how the group gets booked in the company.
