A recent AEW signing disclosed how the current American Champion MJF was determined to date her after their first meeting. She also revealed when they first met.
The recent AEW signing in question is Alicia Atout. Alicia was a backstage interviewer and presenter in multiple indie promotions before going All Elite. She has also been dating the former World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman for quite some time now.
Meanwhile, Alicia Atout opened up on when she first met MJF and how they began dating. Speaking on AEW Unrestricted recently, Atout revealed the following:
"I have known Maxwell Jacob Friedman since we were both in our early 20s, I believe he was 20 and I was 21 when we first met. We had a lot of back and forth, a lot of interviews, a lot of very riduclous, ridiculous moments together from him kicking me to me slapping him across the face, yes, yes. So one would wonder, 'How did two people over the span of seven and a half years come to where we are now?'"

Alicia disclosed that Max was so persistent in dating her when they met:
"He is just so annoyingly persistent that he just bogged me down, and bogged me down. He always says in promos and when addressing the audience he gets everything that he wants and that just so happened to be the case over here, so now this where we're at." [From 27:07 to 27:56]

MJF is set for a huge rematch at AEW All In
On the Dynamite 250 episode a few weeks ago, MJF challenged Will Ospreay for the International Championship and the two had a nearly one-hour classic. Max managed to capture the title with the help of his Dynamite Diamond Ring.
MJF later changed the 'International Title' to 'American Championship' after winning it. Meanwhile, Ospreay challenged Max for a rematch at the upcoming All In 2024 PPV and the bout is official.
Moreover, Ospreay is set to challenge Maxwell for the title in his home country, the United Kingdom. It remains to be seen who walks out of Wembley as the champion.
