MJF has his sights set on the AEW World Championship after ending his feud with Adam Cole. This led to him coming up with a career-altering proposal for a WWE legend with similar aspirations.
During the January 8 edition of AEW Dynamite, a Casino Gauntlet match was scheduled to crown the next No.1 contender to Jon Moxley's World Championship. The bout saw an array of top stars on the roster go up against each other in the high-stakes match.
Wrestling legend Jeff Jarrett also competed in the match. Last week, Double J announced on Dynamite that he had signed his last contract and was set to embark on the last leg of his four-decade-long illustrious career.
However, his start to his last run did not go as he had hoped. Jarrett failed to win the Casino Gauntlet, which Powerhouse Hobbs eventually won. In a post-match interview, MJF interrupted Jarrett as he expressed disappointment.

The Salt of the Earth came down to the ring to confront the legend. He even revealed that Jeff Jarrett had only one year in his last AEW contract. Hearing Jarrett's aspirations to become World Champion, Maxwell offered to join forces to help him reach his goal, only if Jarrett helped him win the title first.
Jeff Jarrett bluntly rejected his 'so-called charity' and labeled him an arrogant prick. Despite acknowledging his AEW accomplishments, The WWE Hall of Famer did not hesitate to call MJF 'a one-hit wonder' and left the scene. He chose to go it alone to fulfil his goals before hanging up his wrestling boots for good.
