MJF has fired a shot against a top AEW star on social media, claiming the latter is supposedly not yet on his level. The talent in question is Will Ospreay.
Last week on AEW Dynamite, Ospreay aimed at MJF over the latter's brutal assault on Daniel Garcia and Friedman's remarks about his value to All Elite Wrestling. Although the reigning AEW International Champion called out The Wolf of Wrestling to settle matters in the ring, the latter refused and, in turn, challenged Ospreay to face him on Dynamite next week with his title on the line.
Days ahead of their clash on AEW Dynamite 250, MJF took to X/Twitter to send a message to Will Ospreay. He alluded to opinions supposedly shared by industry veterans who regard Friedman as a legitimate draw and a top star, contrasting them to those held by The Aerial Assassin's fanbase about him.
MJF also referenced Ospreay's promo from last week, in which he compared himself to a skyscraper in relation to Friedman and promised to take The Commonwealth Kingpin down next Wednesday.

"I'm the star that the pros know is the present and future of this sport. You're a star to mouth breathing, misinformed wrestling fans. You say you're a skyscraper? Guess that makes me the Burberry bulldozer. There are levels to this. This Wednesday I prove you simply aren't on mine," wrote Friedman.
Sam Roberts on former AEW World Champion MJF's latest heel turn
Wrestling analyst Sam Roberts recently shared his two cents on MJF's heel turn on Dynamite: Beach Break 2024 earlier this month. The Salt of the Earth regressed to his villainous ways by completely dismantling Daniel Garcia.
On a recent episode of his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts spoke about a crucial difference between MJF's prior run as a heel compared to his upcoming tenure as a bad guy - namely, that while Friedman repeatedly claimed to be the most important star in AEW during his previous run as a heel, this time around he has a more valid claim to that status, having been proven to be a major attraction over time.
It remains to be seen if MJF will win the International Championship for the first time on the upcoming episode of Dynamite. If he does, he may find himself in the cross-hairs of PAC, who called his shot at the title after winning a four-way match last week.
